We have all seen people using their mobile phones whilst driving (saw one on my way to work today) but a chap drove through my village this morning SHAVING whilst negotiating past parked cars. Who said men can't multitask?

I take it that it was an electric razor Carole the mind boggles at the prospect of a full soap and shaving brush job. But people talking on mobile phones is commonplace and as we have seen here on this forum over the years, this kind of thing has resulted in dreadful accidents where people were killed. The law to stop this is virtually un-enforceable.
I saw a guy not so long ago on the main road here at the traffic lights with Maison Dieu...do a full u-turn from one side of the barriered road to the other using just one hand while talking on the phone with the other. A u-turn is not allowed there due to it being very dangerous, but to double complicate the situation like that is asking for trouble...but still they do it.

the most common bad practice now is drivers trying to access facebook on their smart phones.

And then there was white van man turning into Elms Vale from Folkestone Road, phone in one hand, cheese(?) roll in the other and turning the wheel with his elbow!

I know I should not be surprised at the antics of some drivers but I always am. Yes Howard I have just heard about out the "facebookers". A friend of mine lives opposite the Police Station in Canterbury and is constantly seeing drivers texting whilst in their vehicles so if they can get away with it yards from the cop shop they will do it anywhere.
