Watching BBC Breakfast this morning there was an item that the elderly should only drink half the recommended amount for younger adults.
When questioned the psychiatrist who thought up this daft idea said it was because the elderly can fall. I have one question for all of us elderly drinkers, have you fallen over recently because you have had an alcoholic drink?
I admit I have had several falls in the past all of them when I have been stone cold sober and not having had a drink for a couple of days. The best fall was when I was in my early twenties and I was on my way to the local pub with my mother-in-law for a girlie night out, ended up with two black eyes and a cup of sweet tea instead.
