From observation it would appear that over indulgence in alcohol almost invariably brings the gift of wisdom.
I have often overheard people in pubs who towards the end of the evening have the 'obvious' solution to everything from wars (various) in the Middle East, through how to improve Education/the Health Service and Unemployment, and to prove their credentials in what I foolishly though are difficult problems to which there are no easy answers which some of the best brains in the land are wrestling with, add the fact that unlike most economists they saw the banking crisis coming.
With perspicacity such as this so easy to attain sorting out minor difficulties like providing local council services whilst out of ones head would surely be simplicity itself?
