DDC were consultees to the MMO the same as everyone else.

DDC's consistent view was that the MMO were the deciding body & they should make a decision, whatever it may be, based on scientific , environmental & heritage factors & stop prevaricating.

Prior to the MMO submission DDC revoked the Air Quality Management Area which allowed the Royal HaskoningDHV report on EIA screening to assert the DWDR scheme was within T2. Recent independent samples suggest the DWDR area is already breaching EU regulation.

DDC is the risk management authority for the coastline which may be affected by any dredging. Draft modelling reports have been proved to be inaccurate.

A consistent view from DDC prior to DWDR was to object to dredging of the Goodwin Sands directly to the Chief Executives of the Crown Estate Commissioners.

Just several examples why DDC are not just consultees like everyone else.
