If the regeneration of Dover has been halted over an assumption that a licence would be granted to dredge the Goodwin Sands then heads need to roll at DHB and Dover District Council.
It simply isn't good enough that a council should be so out of touch with its electorate that it could not foresee this would be contentious nor did it ensure the original application from DHB had the correct and required information for the MMO to make a quick and decisive decision.
Although the town councils within the district are often criticised, for once I think they have acted responsibly on the facts presented to them.
