Hello all, I have been watching this forum and have now decided to join so that I can contribute to the discussion. In response to what Vic & others have posted, the public can make a stand and have their voices heard. As of writing, we have just short of 11k signatures on the petition, the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) say it's the largest objection they have ever received; if you haven't already signed it, please visit Goodwin Sands SOS on the web.

More importantly, with such wide-ranging issues from environmental damage, threat to archaeology and the desecration of war-graves it is vital that we all write to the MMO with our objections. Writing-in has far more influence than just signing the petition, the very high level of objections to the original Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) from individuals and National conservation and heritage groups have led to the MMO undertaking a 2nd Public Consultation, this closes on 16th November.

So, please voice your concerns about DHB's proposed dredge and email the MMO as a matter of urgency, the full details of the MMO email address are on the Save Goodwin Sands SOS Website & Facebook page.

When emailing, please quote the reference number: MLA/2016/00227

Thank you so much for your support – together we can STOP THE DREDGE of the Goodwin Sands!
