Also there was a big wheel,!"So what you might think" Well this big wheel had a second big wheel on top of it and then both would turn round .The side shows were good to and the cafes ,dance hall Dreamland had the lot . Will be the same this time,we will have to wait and see,and mate of mine was a engineer there he also helped in the desighs of some of the rides, when it closed down he went with Mr Godden the money man and worked for him at the Roetonder at Folkestone,
Then he left there and went to where I was working and we worked off and on for about 6 years around London and local. He all ways said he would like to go back if they rebuild dream land.

I would like to think that all the rides would be the same now as they were in the 1950s 1960s but I do not think they will time has moved on and rides we had then the young ones would find boring ,but there was one and I would not go on it and that was the rockets there was two rockets on a long arm one each end and they would go round at speed like a windmill ,if you was under 16 you was not allowed to go into the side show that had the one arm bandits in it there was a big punch bag out side with a clock telling you how hard you had hit it,must say I was good at that one, also the one you hit with a hammer and had to ring the bell at the top of the post. Also you had the horses that went up and down and around.Cannyfloss was the thing and Toff/apples but the apple most times was bad in the middle.
