Some photos taken yesterday afternoon at low tide. The Dour has cut a channel at right angles from the Bubbles culvert across to Northampton Quay then it follows that down for a way before meandering across to Ballast Quay, with quite a big bank of silt on the Ballast Quay side. Then there is a view of the old slipway by De Bradeleis, the top half of which has been made into the carpark. Later photos show the pontoons sitting on the mud off Esplanade Quay. Last photo shows two contractors who had just conducted a video survey of the culvert from New Bridge to the Bubbles on behalf of the Environmental Agency, the one on the left is holding a GPS on a pole.
