  Like many I too enjoy a stroll along the promenade. I think the newly built esplanade is attractive although the walk normally ends up with my blood pressure being raised ever so slightly having to make my way through dog mess and litter.
  One thing to note is the poor design of the floor which consists of a fine gravel glued with resin to the sub structure. Inevitable this is not wearing well and I suspect will look awful in five years time. Cracks are developing and thermal movement have caused a difference in levels between expansion joints.
  If the designers had planned for this by choosing to use an alternative this problem might have been avoided.
