    It has never been a particularly good pub. Successive licensees have been unsuccessful in driving the clientele upmarket and it has remained tatty for the 15 years I have known it. It used to be notorious as the hangout for the underage drinkers and it has never really shaken off that reputation. And when a tenant succeeded in banning the under-18s, they waited outside and called Crimestoppers every time a punter got in his car and drove away. Not brilliant for trade.
