Hello all, some of you are aware that a small group of local people got together a couple of months ago to form a Town Team and bid for the money available under the Portas Pilot scheme. As it stands we are still to hear if we've been successful, but we have been encouraged by the support from the local community and are continuing to press on and do what we can to help redevelop the town centre. Let's be honest, that's not an easy task, we're all too aware of the problems and challenges Dover faces, but with the help of local businesses and the community at large, we hope we can help in some way.
We will shortly be distributing leaflets and Bluebird stickers to display in shops, cars and offices to create awareness and hopefully build support. Of course, if we receive the Portas money it will be a tremendous boost, either way we'll keep you informed of developments.
I offer you my Hurrah for supporting Dover. Good luck with this - and huge Nice One to you.

Thank you for keeping us informed David, good luck with what I hope is the rolling ball that gathers even more support.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
