    There was supposedly a task force set up but apart from the initial press shots the task force has never been heard from again. Sorting the slow stretch would get London to Dover nearer to the hour and sorting the tunnel out would allow 12 carriages rather than the over-crowded 6 carriages. Seems a no brainer considering it is unlikely this stretch will ever close again for longer than a weekend over the next 10 years.
