Deary me this isn't going well, its clear that some unsavoury characters were associated with the soup kitchen, it is perfectly understandable that people don't want a police supervised set-up outside their house every day.
The politicians (well, wannabes) on here talk of finding solutions while ignoring the views of residents. It seems they're just posturing as usual, keen to be seen as caring, sharing people whilst ignoring the problems. Police resources are limited, they don't have the manpower to supervise a soup kitchen on a daily basis, nor should they need to.
As usual its those in genuine need who miss out and the volunteers who get most frustrated as politicians squabble and pontificate.
