  A good enough,yet overall inadequate to its title,programme,with every respect due to the World War 2 aspect that was featured.The theme surely should be in the word "historic" which for Dover covers more than 2000 years of recorded history from the time of the Roman invasion,through the Norman Conquest then via Henry VIII ,on to the Napoleonic Wars to the present day ,of which next to nothing was covered.An irritating sideline was that the presenter more than once referred to Dover as being at Hell's Corner when in fact surely it should be Hell Fire Corner - also Dr Toland's name was pronounced Toll Land and not Toe Land as it should be.
