The second series of "Britain’s Most Historic Towns" starts tonight at 8pm on Channel 4, with this first episode featuring Dover.
Alice Roberts explores the Second World War history of the town, talks to a certain well known 90-year-old local and experiences what life was like for members of the Auxiliary Territorial Service during the Battle of Britain.

Briefly :) One clip she was on a single carriage way then the next the A20 .. good continuity :)
Still it did show how much Dover played in the war ..

A good enough, yet overall inadequate to its title, programme, with every respect due to the World War 2 aspect that was featured. The theme surely should be in the word "historic" which for Dover covers more than 2000 years of recorded history from the time of the Roman invasion, through the Norman Conquest then via Henry VIII ,on to the Napoleonic Wars to the present day ,of which next to nothing was covered. An irritating sideline was that the presenter more than once referred to Dover as being at Hell's Corner when in fact surely it should be Hell Fire Corner - also Dr Toland's name was pronounced Toll Land and not Toe Land as it should be.
