  I hope I am not speaking out of turn or spilling the beans in any way, but the torch (or one very similar to it) will be here, across the street from where I sit, later in the week. I cannot be more precise because the whole thing seems mightily hush-hush. I'll stick my neck out though and say Saturday, but don't quote me.
  The was to be an event, but a mixture (in the literal sense) of heavy rain and over-flowing Porto-Loos has rendered this unlikely.
