    Here is the latest direct from Kent Police...

    Gary Sturt (30) of Clarendon Street, Dover, appeared before magistrates in Canterbury today (Tuesday 22 May 2012) charged with the murder of his mother, Annette Sturt, aged 49, of Prescott Close, Guston near Dover. Mr Sturt was remanded in custody and is due to appear again at Maidstone Crown Court on 6 June 2012.

    A post mortem examination on Monday showed that Mrs Sturt died of strangulation.
