  As a regular reader of newspapers, I don't see what the problem is. Very often people are quoted for what they say in newspapers or on website forums. It's not as if you didn't say it. The article you refer to does go on to quote other people and to say that the comments were made on the forum. As far as I can see it works around the other way too. Threads on the forum sometimes originate from stories in local newspapers or from their websites and are not always acknowledged in the same way as this article acknowledges the forum. So why despair? Incidentally this is my first post, so thanks to Paul B for accepting me and I look forward to contributing to the debates.
