the practice in maison dieu road has put many services out to tender according to a letter sent to patients there.
this has caused a lot of consternation and a petition has been started to stop this.
letters have been sent to the health secretary and our honourable member over fears that the excellent service previously provided with this practice will not continue.

hmmm... seems to have been a lot of changes, mum and dad dont seem to have a doctor assigned to them yet, and have been told that they will see someone different until they decide who they want... strange but true

My mum went there last year over a period of several weeks, for something minor, and received excellent service, until the ailment had healed.
The nurse also asked her if she wanted an anti-flu vaxination, without my mum having even requested it.
We should see to it that the NHS services provided in Kent are not reduced or diluted through forms of privatisation.
In other parts of England, there have been awful tales of things that have happened in some hospitals.
As we have good service here, we should also see that we retain it.

With regard to seeing doctors, i'm in a another sugery of 5 or 6 doctors not under any one doctor, it's a lucky dip thing who you get.
the days of having the one doctor has long gone, sadly

i think i have seen about 10 different doctors at my surgery in the past year.
not really a problem all the info they need is on the computer, all have been very good.

Are we talking about the one that was Dr Jain's now run by the Pencester lot, if so I know nothing about any changes as I have not had a letter.

seems to be some confusion on this one, i read in the "express" that the surgery in folkestone road had moved there temporarily while their own building was being refurbished.
i don't know if the two stories are related in some way.

Apparently they are there for about a year while the surgery up Folkestone Road is being totally rebuilt, just asked daughter's partner.

There is a demolition order in for the medical centre in Folkestone Road and a Planning Aplication for the rebuild.

Today I received a letter from NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent asking for my views concerning the choice of a new service provider for the Dover Medical Practice.
On Thursday 14 July, from 9am to 12pm, Kent Community Health NHS Trust will be visiting the practice to hear our views and find out more on how they will choose the new service provider.
For any who can't attend on that day, there is a phone number and email address to contact in order to ask questions or express concerns.
If anyone is registered with the same practice and is interested, but hasn't got the letter and wishes to phone or email to ask some questions or express concerns, let me know.
