then next sat st albans.
dover in 6th place at the moment with 4 teams chasing the 4th and 5th place play off spots.
its all very very close
should be a bumper crowd at rivals dartford who have nothing to play for, except pride, but they will be up for it, wanting to beat Dover
then st albans already relegated
on top of this the clubs above dover have some where they play each other so points will be lost
dover could realy do with the 6 points and make the other clubs sweat

very poor performance by dover, were not at the races, sadly season over.
summed up by a dover faithful supporter who said
"we deserve an apology for today"
at the end of the game a dover player was clearly seen argueing with the manager
i do wonder although maybe should sit back and see
but wonder if dover has reached it's level and maybe promotion beyond them
lack of consistency has been dovers problem, more so at home,
a lot to do if the club wants to get to any higher level.

that's a shame but they really were the architects of their own failing. Sometimes they looked as if they could comfortably play a league or two above but on other occasions you wouldn't rate them against a strong schoolboy side.
As you say inconsistency has been their undoing. Hopefully the squad will remain pretty well intact as there are some good players amongst them and they can consolidate next season. - Keith Sansum1

26 April 2011 14:59103582yep mark we all recall the gillingham/aldershot games plus a few othes to note, but home form was dire,
you cant blame other clubs for that, dover had enough chances to get into the play off's
I did some time ago raise the issue is Dover footy at its level?
can they afford to get promoted? baring in mind they don't have major sponsors, and would be competing against a lot more full time clubs.
the chairperson is rightly wanting to see the club reach football league status, and every club should have an aim/dream
it's whether or the club can play at or afford to play at that level.
dover has a fantastic fan base even in the dire times
its probably time to let the dust settle see where the club goes after today
for me as always i will be a dover supporter at whatever level they play
