Whether or not your a footy fan it's rather sad to hear that
Dover FC lost its appeal to the FA for not for filling it's fixtures this season .
The FA were obviously not aware we have just come through a pandemic.

Dover had no crowds and so no revenue and so by the rules of the league could not operate if it was in debt .

The league decided to fine Dover £40,000 and deduct 12 points from the start of next season .

Of course Dover can't afford to keep making legal challenges but the club (and other clubs ) should take into account some of the FAs findings...

The club is s company and the FA in its findings wanted the chairman to produce his personal business accounts
Very worrying for anyone wanting to involve themselves in the future of football clubs ....

So Dover will start next season minus 12 points and the big fine and on a 50% reduction budget and part time
So it will really be uphill for them unlikely to hold on to there national League status .

It is a sad day for non league football , where the Dover chairman's made it clear they would have gone under and he made the decision to save the club ....
