Last night at St Mary`s parish centre saw 16 community groups, after some financial funding for their various small community projects. Each group was allowed 3 minute`s in front of the audience to say what their particular group was doing, and why they needed the money, and at the same time, win the support of those attending last night, as not all the projects would be successful. After all the presentation`s, the voting took place, followed by the result`s and councillor Nigel Collor presenting the cheque`s to the successful one`s. A very interesting evening for me of course, all totally new. Nice to see Vic again and also Andy Cooper and wife Michelle who were representing the London Road Community Forum, `Empty Shop Project`.
