So why was the roll out of vaccines so slow locally?

A very well placed source tells me that it was because local surgeries did not think the payment offered for vaccinations by the local CCG (£12.58 per Covid vaccination jab administered – but would only receive payment after the second of two doses) was enough.

I'd have though getting the practice nurse to jab a queue of punters at £12.58 a pop would be a nice little earner?
