  Good news to hear that Dover is safe with the closure of 10 other stations, leaving Dover as only one of three 24 hour stations.
  
  Langdon is an amazing place and the work they do is great from up there

  aberdeen then either southampton or portsmouth will be the other 2.

  They are also a great bunch of people up there, I have visited a few times in the past to show people the Langdon Battery that the coastguards station is built on top of.
  
  They are always happy to show people around and explain what they do, the last time the arranged a film show of old photographs then let us explore the tunnels.
  
  The stuff that they have experienced up there is also amazing !

  Excellent board room which we occasionally use [with their kind permission].

  Are you saying your Board meetings are boring Mr Watkins, with all what is going on at this time or not going on,from where one is standing,boring is the last thing they should be,never mind I will change that soon.

  you are right about the coastguards but not everyone knows that they can ring 999 and ask for them.

  i would imagine that most council meetings are mind numbing, only so often does an interesting item crop up.

  funny that should have arisen, when i turned up after lunch there was a rather frozen looking lady collecting collecting cards.
  
  the door was closed and the heating on, but i would imagine sitting down with nothing much to do for hours on end would make one feel colder.
  
  i did feel sorry for the council staff inside, i bet they were looking at their watches every few minutes.
