I am hoping just teething problems - for someone interested in the history, and wanting to take it all in, some of the multimedia displays were to fast to digest and other elements too rushed so they started before our small group got to the next section. Guess it has got to appeal everyone and get them through as fast as possible. Ramsay's casemate was quite well done with the (projected images of) planes flying down the whole length. I found it dark in places so difficult to read the interpretation even if there was time.
The balcony casemates has some nice historical displays and uniforms, and the shop well stocked with new lines. I cannot remember the full cost £££ but it appears that they vast majority has gone on multimedia and disabled lifts/new footpaths as little has really changed with regards the tunnels themself.
I think the staff situation has been decided and they place will close on winter weekdays, from what I can tell a huge proportion of the staff will be looking for new jobs as they won't be able to afford to live on the reduced hours/wages...
