Also just quietly sitting in the sun with a good book.

Weather Permitting
There's no whether or not
to what weather we've got
no meteorological doubt
that day in and day out
like it or not
it is ever about
If yours be idyll or urbane
come sunshine or rain
irrespective of clime
it strikes musical chime
be it gurgling drain
or crackling rime
The buzz of the bees
the swishing of trees
the squelching of slush
or a gargoyles gush*
gale-force or breeze
there's never a hush
So dress for the day
its the sane way
Gaberdine or tube-top
Galoshes or flip-flop
make broth or make hay
Make the most of each day.
*Yes, I know that Gargoyles are the ones that do not gush, those be mere water spouts.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Yes, Tom, in the country it's often said that there's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.

sounds like it was a resounding success despite the town council not helping with funding.

The Town Council is helping with funding via Councillors grant, the story in the DE was wrong and DCAL cannot get a response in the paper to say it was wrong.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!
