That must have been a long time ago Sid, I understood Bob MacGregor (or very similar) has owned it ever since we moved to Dover in 1994.

From various conversations with the two who sacked me, I always got the distinct impression that if people had signed up to the Chamber, it was then up to the business to contact the Chamber if they wanted anything, but every time they had, they had received no where near the level of help and support they expected; being at Whitfield, they also felt that it was too remote for a local business to have to go up there.

Many I had spoken to, who were members of the Chamber were very dissatisfied and were going to drop out when their membership renewal was due. I did say to them that when their membership runs out, don't just walk away, join DBS, it is part of the Chamber, so they will receive all the other services and facilites, but also a "personal" service from me.
