The enforcement offcer has written to the owners of the neglected buildings and they will be smartened up.
Much work can be done by someone co-ordinating and leading on varoius projects and initiatives and this salary could/would be paid for by the major local stake-holders.
Ashford were/are paying £35,000 pa and a car, which is a very good salary; it could easily be say, £25,000. To 4 or 5 stake-holders, that isn't too much.

Roger, I'll get the email address of the owner from Simon, if you can persuade him to part with £thousands to decorate his building I'll buy every Forum member a bottle of champagne. His name is Schrieber, Simon knows him well.
As for the local stakeholders - who do you have in mind?
Once again, if you can persuade them to find the £50k pa needed to fund a person (rent, IT, stationery, phone, transport etc) I'll take you for a nice lunch.
