    Absolutely Peter.

It's not just the "disconnect" though (cable-car for some of that ?); the seafront is very smart and has plenty of good dining and drinking places, but take a step behind the seafront at the underpass and that area lets the Town down very badly and may well deter people from coming into the Town centre.

The owner of that building must be forced to do something with it; either directly smartening up the building with a refurb/redec. or have a tarpaulin all the way round it, showing an artist's impression of what it will be like - that kind if thing works very well in mainland Europe.

The DTIZ will be a major draw for residents, visitors and people from miles around, including the Nord Pas de Calais region.
