My name is Jack O'Sullivan and I volunteer for Dover Athletic - last season I wrote articles for the website and the matchday programme, this season I'll be adding an element of commercial sales to my list of responsibilities.
Those of who you follow the club will know that this is an exciting time for the club, what with promotion to the Conference Premier sealed - attendances at Crabble will naturally rise and a feel-good factor should return.
In our matchday programme I'm launching a directory for local businesses, with twenty-one adverts on each page (each measuring 43mm x 26mm). The advert contains the name of your business, a short message to your potential customers, your website address and your phone number.
Ads will appear in all of our programmes for the whole season, including all FA Cup and FA Trophy matches. Advertisers will benefit from a higher profile in the local community, as well as a wider audience from visiting supporters. Being distributed throughout the hospitality lounges at the club, and on-sale around the ground, advertising within the matchday programme enables you to reach a broad demographic of local people.
The cost for an entry is really low and fantastic value for money.

The season (and first programme the Directory will appear in) starts early August, so we have around 6 weeks - however with spaces being sold on a daily basis, realistically we have until approximately the end of June. - 12 June 2014 10:54267949And with that, the first page has been sold - full of adverts from local businesses, many having seen my original post on here. It's been a good experience to learn more about the wealth of good, local companies in the area!

Good for local businesses and also livens up the town centre. - 16 June 2014 07:05268123I watched a programme on Channel 5 last week about football hooliganism , a lot of what we saw centred around Chester and Wrexham "fans" let us hope they do not travel in numbers, it was like a throw back to the seventies!Audere est facere.
