For some reason im unable to post on the front page so use this new thread to do so.
i noted our paulw is having public meeting in deal to see there future, i think deal is a lovely place and has a lot going for it already
i would have thought paulw would have looked at dover first as its struggling to survive.

Yes Keith, the front page is no more. We are now Members Only and no longer enjoy the input of the passing traffic.
There are, no doubt, perfectly valid reasons for this, but from where are the readers to get the feed-back from visitors or enjoy the immediacy of local matters from the townsfolk who are not able to dedicate themselves to this, most excellent, forum?
I'm just saying.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

PaulB did post on this. The forum was hit badly by spammers again and this is the only way he can defend against this. It is sad but understandable. My blog was 'infected' by them as well. What a pity that the contributions of many are so affected by the stupidity and abuses of the very few.

the answer is a simple one an e mail to paulb requesting membership stating that they wish to contribute.
the last attack was nearly catastrophic, another could have finished things or at least proved very expensive to fix.

Yes BarryW and Howard are exactly right above. In some ways we are lucky to still be here.
We are currently making a number of adjustments within our limited resources but all will be fine in the end. Not completed yet. Jan the search engine is just above the forum links on the Forum Front Page..only seen once logged in. That page used to be the anchor page but we are changing it into the permanent frontpage..not fully sorted yet. Hope that's a bit clearer but peeps will get used to the new setup in a while.
The idea is too that if anyone wants to comment on a piece on the frontpage, please start a thread in the forum here. It should tighten everything up and be slicker once we all get the hang of it.

all will become clear, it is just sad that there are those who wish to spoil so as said changes have to be made to compensate.
