Port of Dover announces viewing dates for Dove of Peace sculpture
The Port of Dover has announced dates when the iconic sculpture, the Dove of Peace, by Anthony Heywood, which was unveiled at a ceremony in Cruise Terminal 1 at the end of last year, will be available to view.
The sculpture is a full size white spitfire made from a special type of paper developed at the former Buckland Paper Mill in Dover. The Dove of Peace symbolises heroism, individualism and belief, and self-preservation, fear and the shattering of young lives.

    The opening times are:
    Friday, 3 April between 11am and 1pm

Monday, 18th May between 5-7.30pm at the Port of Dover's Annual Consultative Meeting
Parking will be FREE at the cruise terminal
Tim Waggott, Chief Executive, Port of Dover, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to view an impressive artwork and showcase the newly refurbished CT1 in all its former glory."
