  I am about to replace my old sash windows and need new facias, gutting and doors. I responded to an ad in the local paper hoping that the price I would be qouted would come somewhere near the "offer" only to find that the best price had more than doubled.
  Can anyone recommend a good firm, I have a very limited budget?

  If you live somewhere like Ross and myself it will be very expensive. Chap not a million miles away from me had some excellent looking aluminium windows fitted. Then the council found out and made him replace them with hardwood. It was very costly. They don't look any different though.

  I used Valley windows last year. EXCELLENT.
  after I got P****d around by a well know company who backed out of a deal these guys did the biz,
  grass grows by the inches but dies by the feet.
