Did anyone see the airshow lunchtime over Dover?
I was on way back from lunch and there was a Spitfire and a Hurricane in flight around two helicopters.
I was fully aware of the Fly with a Spitfire experience Stephen Burt of Action Stations was offering but this is the first I have seen of a Hurricane as well. Looking on his website I see that he has expanded his operation so he must be doing well.
The double fighter experience costs £899 or £1199 depending on which flying time package you book. Well worth every penny, if only I could afford it!!!
It must have been simply amazing to be in flight with both a Spitfire and a Hurricane over the White Cliffs..... an experience of a lifetime.

yes barry seen them 2 or 3 times today, quite a regular accurance over aycliffey hieghts, either a single fighter [spitfire] or both spitfire/hurricane,allways with two helicopters.all so get flybys from f14/15/16/17 and 18s,quite low and fast.as a matter of fact they are that low you could see the pilot and shake hands with the gezzer.

We were up at St Martins and saw them this morning but this afternoon I was at Greatstone/Littlestone/Lydd on my school run and they were down there heading toward Dungeness. I wondered what they were doing - now I know! Thanks Barry

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

The aircraft concerned will be flying again today, and tomorrow which is Battle of Britian Day. There will be a service at the B of B Memorial site at Capel at 10.30hrs which, subject to conditions, will include a Spitfire flypast. The Spitfire (a Mk5) will be flying again at the site, all being well, at around mid-day. Next year Action Stations are trying to get a P51D Mustang to join the flight.
