Peter, previous Labour governments, in particular the last one, have made the rich become immensely richer.
They also put many people out of work to make them become poor.
If this were not so, then how does one explain the widening gap in incomes of the richest and the poorest 10% in Britain?
Under your theory, we would be reading the opposite: "under Labour's 13 years, the gap got smaller ."
