In the past few weeks i have been forced without choice to have a water meter, whilst that in itself is a long debate, may i turn to another aspect and request from other forumites views on what i found since the meter was introduced;
The water pressure appears now very low, thus the water running a lot slower, i have today contacted the water board to come and have a look as this may well affect the heating system.
Have other forumites had water meters installed, and have they encountered pressure problems(from the water lol

my understanding is that these meters have been agreed at govt level to allow the water companies to introduce them, whether or not you want them.
it's now in the interest of the water board to find your cock(stop cock i meant lol)

naturally i expected the same from southern water, not so, i got a demand for 40 quid a month!!
when i queried this they said that was what their computer estimated it at, they are now sending me a revised demand. - 9 March 2011 17:2196110Ever since we had a meter installed, we firstly had a refund of £60, then our bill was reduced from £14 a month down to £7 per month.
Two of us in the house. Can't be bad.
We do try not to waste water.
