the bodies of criminals who were hanged were used for dissection, at one time, viz:
Kentish Gazette Tues Aug 4 1818 page 3 col.3 reports the result of the trial of HUSSEY the murderer.
The Jury consulted for 8 to 10 minutes and then returned verdict of Guilty.
On back page of same paper: col.4: Describes HUSSEY after the trial and his execution.
HUSSEY said he had never committed the murder but knew who had done it, HUSSEY said he was involved with the theft.
After the body had hung the usual time it was cut down and delivered to Messrs DAY and WHATMAN for dissection.
