How sad that someone could not take a departed loved ones pet to their graveside, comfort for the living admited, but a comfort none the less.

I have seen 'No dogs allowed' signs in some private cemeteries but I have to say I don't see a lot of dogs in most cemeteries (and I spend a lot of time in cemeteries!) Some of the London park/nature reserve cemeteries do allow dogs to be walked if they are on a lead.

I am perplexed by the emergency telephone number.

That's the district council's switchboard number at the Palace of Whitfield, Judith, not overly perplexing I would say?

Just wondering what sort of emergency would be expected to occur in a cemetry, but I suppose it is a DDC generic sign.

I spoke to a Dover park ranger once. He said dogs aren't allowed in cemeataries in Dover. However, he did say if he saw them on a lead with a responsible owner he did not see the harm. I guess it's about respect. Dogs like to wee up things!

Tom, I have not seen Greyfriars Bobby for years not since my children were young, a Disney film if I remember correctly.
