    Concern for animals is great but I wish this concern extended more to people.

    Our society, that seems to grow ever more covertly cut-throat and malevolent, bears out the late AA Gill's assertion that "The English love animals because they hate people".

    You only have to look at this forum to see that the milkman of human kindness has failed to deliver an extra pint, or even one at all, to some households.
