a warden for the above, litter dropping, spitting etc would pay their wages and associated costs many times over.

other towns and cities can do it, why not ours?

i read yesterday that beverley in north yorkshire have clamped down on litter, children are mostly the problem, so they have a choice when caught.

mum and dad can pay a fine or the child can join a 2 hour team litter pick.

sounds a good idea, gets the kids thinking about their surroundings.
