  Some councils don't seem that bothered - Sevenoaks not giving out a fine in 3 years and in a district the size of Medway 6 in 3 years seems woefully inadequate.

  I inadvertently stepped in a dog mess covered by some leaves as I was out exercising my dog this morning. Absolutely hate the total disregard by some locals, for the safety and comfort of others. I never leave the house without a large supply of bags. Some for my dog but a large number of them, to hand out to dog owners who constantly "forget" or" used the bag already". It's totally inconsiderate of others. Pushchairs, wheelchairs etc carry it indoors. Just completely wrong .

  Not surprised Shepway is dog s&#t capital never saw an environmental enforcement officer on patrol at all. Well done D.D.C only 2 x environmental officers actively patrolling draws level with Maidstone's 8x private Environmental patrol officers says it all. More needs to be done though about these lazy dog owners triple the fine from £80??????

  Interesting post from Al which draws comparison with our County town. I do find it odd that a cigarette end dropped elicits the same fine as dog toffee. I know what I would not want to tread into the house.
