15:2585880I'd weigh up the options, then make a timely decision.
I did that in April when volcanic ash threatened and did close Heathrow.
We had to make a decision to join a cruise ship in Venice or miss the cruise.
What we did was what do what people are doing today at the Port. I got in car and drove. Long drive but wonderful cruise.
What's more important to you Vic, the family occasion or the swim.
You'll know the answer.

18:0185933The major routes are clearing now so why not have a try tomorrow to somewhere like the Maidstone services and back, then if you can get out of bed on Thursday you're on for Stoke!

18:3885944It's 'only' xmas, and your health and safety is more important. You can always go another time.
Been nice knowing you :)

you are having an operation in early january that is only effective if the patient rests for a longish period(alec will confirm how long).
the surgery you are having is one of a few that because of lack of funds, g.p's cannot refer any of their patients to a consultant.
it would be most ungracious of you to have the op then start running around again like you did the last time.
there must be many that need the surgery that would do as the medics say.

21:3085981Nice to see you and Lesley again today Vic, twice. Apart from you, I only saw Jeanette in town.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.
