yet we have learned two new buzz phrases from the article "trans-identified" and "gender-queer".
i wonder if they pay people to dream such things up then advertise in the "guardian" jobs section?

it all strikes me that it belongs in the days before tuition fees and student loans.
before that when it was all free with a grant attached things were more carefree, today i would have thought they would be spending all their waking moments on their studies.

No Howard, they now think that because they pay the fees they're buying a degree and it's up to the staff to make sure they get it no matter how little work they put in.

intriguing ray, reminds me of that cartoon in the telegraph where the examiner says to the students "you may now look at the questions and pretend to be surprised".
