    Below the red mark to the left at the roadside is the Old farm workshops buildings with the cottages next door which were owned by the ministry and rented to the Bensted family for a long time.The farm workshops were rented to Mr Casey who was a boilermaker and welder who was very well known especially to many in the Aycliffe estate who would call there to have cars welded for mot and just about anything that needed fixing.I spent alot of time at those workshops and often remember them as i drive up the a20 which now goes straight through where they used to be.
