    I agree with much what you say Marek, but as an individual I cannot do much. I can ask, write and suggest many things, but to do anything worthwhile I need to be a part of an organisation or body.

    My understanding was that Margate was one of the Towns to receive that money, but no one has come forward to advise if DDC applied for it - I will ask the question though.

    As we are talking about twinning, this is a civic function and I would have thought that Dover Town Council (maybe with DDC help or input if required) would be teh appropriate body. As you rightly say, enormous benefits and our position (geographically) must give us an advantage.

    I wouldn't say that the officers/staff at DDC are lazy-arsed, over-paid or non-decision making baffoons at all.

    It's easy for us to criticise from afar (and I'm not talking Jersey), but there is much that is good that goes on at DDC that we are unaware of.
