Back to differing views, its a shame that the Express did not inform the young lady, Jasmin Hayes, who they asked to list things that could improve Dover that there is a concert or performance from the Pencester Pavilion every single week-end during the summer months between April and September on Sunday afternoons by local musicians and groups, that there is a Christians Together in Dover organisation already in place and that they do a lot of work together, that Brighter Dover have been very busy at work with planting flowers and floral displays, the DHB have also done some flowers, that Dover Town Team, in cooperation with the DDC and Town Council, have secured half price parking in the Russell Street Car Park every Tuesday, that Dover Sea Sports Centre provides a wide range of activities on the water and is open to all who are interested in such things to partake, that Dover has a new cycle way opened recently (but apparently designed by someone who hates cyclists and wants them run over or drowned) with funding from Sustrans, etc. etc. etc.

Had they done so, we might have a handful of suggestions that weren't already being done.

Of course Dover has many improvements to make and a long way to go, but the efforts of the very many voluntary groups and organisations are starting just starting to make a real difference. What is already happenning needs to be acknowledged, not ignored and new initiatives for improvements need to be thought of and undertaken.
