  Totally ridiculous knee-jerk reaction by DHB to legislation that has not been (and may well not be) enacted at all, as it is still at the consultation stage. Reading the consultation document it’s clear that closing such venues is a last resort if mitigation strategies are impracticable. Sometimes I think DHB is on a mission to make life as difficult as possible for all and sundry. What next? Closing the marina? If I were a terrorist intent on blowing up the port, a visiting yacht would be the easiest way to import the necessary explosives. The keel of a yacht could hide a small nuclear weapon without any difficulty at all.
