DHB conducted the annual public meeting as usuall. All associated documentation is available from their web-site. Due to how late these documents are released, I find these annual meetings somewhat frustrating - 1 hour prior to commencing the meeting is an insufficient period of time to properly examine the numbers and read through the papers in order to formulate the informed questions that would allow the stakeholders to cause DHB to be held properly to account.
Still, I was in attendance and listened to the presentations.
Not many board members present, which is unsurprising given the changes currently underway.
When we got to question time, almost all the questions were about Live Exports. Terry Sutton had a sensible one about developing for future traffic, David Hanent had one about Dover's development in relation to the planned changes at Calais and a DHB pensioner had one about his pension, but the rest were from animal welfare campaigners.
