Paul is absolutely right THE PAST IS PAST
lets draw a line under it and look forward and move on
I cannot run with this philosophy, because it is like wiping your childhood/youth from what has made you an adult...........
For myself the start would be to look at a big mistakes of the PAST...to be able to make a sustainable future......
re.............re-route the A20............to give the Town a chance to breath and re-cover................there is no financial remuneration for the town in this A20 passing through it......Just pollution, noise and sorrow............
....... it is helping the Port disgorge its loads....when Jubilee Way was built to do such a thing.......................
The vacuous argument of Dover has this, or that, or the other...is dead on the table.....Deal, Sandwich etc......are not having to deal with a Port which uses and abuses Dover....but maintains it is not a part of it...................
Yes, Dover is unique.....it has a beautiful geographical position....and here is the argument as to what to do....One half built the most amazing Castle in Northern Europe...the other a Prison holding 350 inbetween people with the best view in the UK...............and an amazing town, given the chance from people trying to bury it in the name of progress.
