The move for English Heritage was agood one ,at that time the castle need alot of funding to keep it looking like it does E/H were and still are the only ones with that kind of money and they do a very good job of looking after our castle.
There were people at that time saying all TR lorrys should come into the docks via the A2 As you righty say many seaside towns did suffer in the late 1970s but they are moving forward even that in places that is slow,but Dover is at a stand still I born in Dover in 1942 and still here. I have seen it all in Dover,good and bad but the bad times is going on longer than the good times did. With the D.D.C. it is more about the district then the Town.
